Energy Marketing Solutions ("we," "us," or "our") operates the DNSwitcher mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our DNS configuration tool. We are committed to protecting your privacy, but you acknowledge that by using the App, you consent to the practices described herein.
1. Data Controller

2. Purposes and Legal Grounds for Processing
Your data is processed for the following purposes:
Provision of services: To enable the use of the Application's functionalities (changing DNS settings) – the legal basis is the performance of a contract for the provision of services.
Ensuring security and stability: Monitoring the correct operation of the Application and preventing abuse – the legal basis is the legitimate interest of the Controller.
3. Scope of Collected Data
The Application processes data necessary for its operation, including:
IP address of the device (collected temporarily for technical purposes).
Information about the operating system and device model.
Diagnostic Data (Crash Data and Performance Data)
Device logs
Important: The Application is only used to change settings. The Controller does not monitor or record the content of your network traffic (browsing history) passing through the DNS servers you have selected.
4. Data Recipients
Your data may be transferred to entities supporting the operation of the Application:
Hosting and cloud service providers.
Providers of analytical tools (Firebase).
DNS server providers (if you select a specific provider in the application, your queries will be directed to them in accordance with their own privacy policy).
5. Data Transfer Outside the EEA
In connection with the use of tools such as [e.g., Google Analytics/Firebase], your data may be transferred to the USA. The Controller only uses the services of entities that guarantee a high level of protection (e.g., through the use of Standard Contractual Clauses).
6. Data Retention Period (Art. 13(2)(a) GDPR)
Data processed for the purpose of providing the service: for the duration of the active use of the Application.
Data collected for technical purposes (logs): for a period of 90 days.
Data necessary for the defense against claims: until the expiry of the limitation period in accordance with applicable laws.
7. Your Rights
In connection with the processing of your data, you have the right to:
Access your data and receive a copy thereof.
Rectify (correct) your data.
Erasure of data ("the right to be forgotten").
Restriction of processing.
Data portability.
Object to processing (where the basis is a legitimate interest).
Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
8. Voluntariness of Providing Data
Providing technical data (such as IP address or device information) is necessary for the proper functioning of the Application. Without this information, changing DNS settings via the Application may be impossible.
9. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling
Your data will not be used for automated decision-making, including profiling, which would produce legal effects concerning you.

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted within the App. Your continued use of the App following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
